Those who have signed up for Xbox Live Rewards, a promo that lets you earn Microsoft points for doing stuff, might be a lot happier today. A little glitch in the system has caused the system to start multiplying earned Microsoft Points to the tune of 1000 to 2100 freebies. According to Xbox Support, it is related to points that were already depositing. If you didn’t earn any recently, you’re unlikely to have benefited from this little snafu.
The best part though? The points are yours to keep according to Support. They tweeted that they won’t be taking them back, meaning it’s like landing one of those free cash Monopoly cards. The only difference is here you’re getting money to spend, and right in the midst of the Summer of Arcade. Score!
