I guess someone at GameStop corporate really lost faith after the BF3 beta.
So here’s everything you need to know about the deal before you think you can commit to this ludicrous promotion. First, you must have bought BF3 before October 27. Second, you must buy MW3 before November 7. After that, you can return BF3 and have your GameStop account refunded except for £0.99 from the purchase.
The crazy thing to consider for people not in the UK is that the price of MW3 was hiked to £54.99, making it one of the first retail games to go at this new price. So you can try BF3 for a week or so then get yourself MW3 almost free.
This kind of crazy promotion really makes it clear where GameStop’s allegiances lie. I just wonder how the developers will react when they catch wind of this thing. I’m sure the folks over at Activision will be thrilled while the people at EA will be looking through their legal documents for a loophole to act on.
