Super Street Fighter IV: AE’s 2012 Update is Live, RIP Yun

If you’re getting tired of getting hit by Doom’s missile’s on Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 or the endless speculation of how gems are stupid on Street Fighter x Tekken, you’ll be glad to know that Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition has received its free update. Version 2012 is available for Xbox 360 and PS3 players now while the PC’s version is planned for the vague future.

You can say what you want about what made this balance patch a reality but no one can deny that Yun and Yang were in a league of their own in SSFIV: AE. Now with Version 2012 out, the twins have been significantly nerfed so as to remind us that there are other characters to win with like Evil Ryu or Rufus.

I still can shake this dream-like feeling. The idea of a balance patch from a Japanese developer for their fighting game, and from Capcom of all companies. This is the company that made more then 3 different versions of Street Fighter II and charged for all of them. Then of course I’ve already mentioned Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

I know I’m dreaming if I see Dan win Evo next year.
