En Masse Entertainment has revealed the North American release date for action MMORPG TERA. TERA will hit store shelves and online retailers on May 1st of this year, and will be available in both Standard and Collector’s Editions. As was revealed early last year, TERA‘s distribution is being handled by Atari. Details of both game editions will be revealed in February.
Frogster revealed similar news on the European TERA website: TERA is scheduled for release on May 3rd in Europe.
En Masse and Frogster, North American and European publishers (respectively) of the TERA, began accepting sign-ups for the upcoming beta tests only a few days ago. Players interested in participating in the beta tests can visit the official sign-up page and enter their e-mail address for a chance to get in.
While the dates of these beta tests have still not been revealed, En Masse has begun a beta invitation contest through Twitter. 25 winners will earn themselves a beta invite if they retweet @TERAonline‘s beta sign-up announcement through their own Twitter account. In other words, interested beta testers will need to log in to their Twitter accounts and retweet this message to be entered into the contest. The contest ends at midnight on January 29th (Pacific Time). Obviously, a Twitter account is required to participate in this contest.
The official contest rules can be read on the official TERA website. Winners will be notified on Monday, January 30th via a direct message through Twitter. The invitations won through this contest are good for all of TERA‘s beta tests; closed and open.
