If you’re ever worried about XBLA games disappearing or suffering the wrath of progress should Xbox Live move on from the current licensing system (don’t laugh; ask buyers of Arcade titles on the original Xbox), then Capcom has something you might be interested in.
For $40 ($60 off the full digital price), Capcom is bundling some of their best Xbox Live Arcade titles on a disc and calling it the Capcom Digital Collection. The set includes Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, Super Street Fighter II HD Remix, Flock, 1942: Joint Strike, Rocketman (plus the DLC expansion), Bionic Commando ReArmed 2, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, and Final Fight: Double Impact. Technically, with Double Impact also containing Magic Sword, that brings the collection to nine Arcade efforts, and all of them are worthy of your time. The set hits stores March 27th.
Capcom isn’t alone if you want to soak up other digital offerings on a disc. Konami has Konami Classics Volume 1 & 2, Microsoft released a disc that compiled four early favorites, and PopCap has most of their titles on disc too. For the value however, Capcom’s set is a tough one to beat.
