Upcoming intertwined Eve Online first-person shooter Dust 514 is going to take a number of leaps of faith. Aside from being a working part of Eve’s economy, Dust will also let players shoot each other with their chosen form of aiming device. Players who prefer the precision of a mouse and keyboard will be locked into combat with those playing with a controller. In other words, there will be no distinction made or separate lobbies.
The last time, in a console arena at least, something like this was attempted reaches back into Shadowrun. That Xbox 360 and Games for Windows release found a home in cross-play environments. As stats showed, there was little difference between the controller types and victories, translating into a fair, well-designed title, which Dust 514 is certainly looking to be.

The injury of the other service member was not considered life-threatening, said Gunnery Sgt. Charles Portman at U.S. Central Command.
The accident happened at 8:30 a.m.
“We just don’t have any other details at this point,” Portman said.
