Vita Games on Sale at Target, Amazon, and GameStop

Buying a Vita? Want games? Don’t pay full price. Between Target, Amazon, and GameStop, you’re bound to score a free title if there are three games you’re after.

Each retailer is offering a buy 2, get 1 free sale in various capacities. As of right now, the Amazon sale only includes those games which have already been released, not those due for release alongside the full launch on the 22nd. There is no word on whether or not they’ll be included. The sale runs until the 25th.

GameStop’s sale includes only first party titles, limited to Uncharted, Wipeout, Hot Shots, Mod Nation Racers, and Little Deviants.

Target’s sale is a little sketchier, with some stores offering the games already to coincide with the Sunday flyer, others waiting until Wednesday to unleash the software. As of now, the sale is not appearing online either (you can always bookmark the Vita section and check-in later). Regardless, the sale runs until the 25th, at least after it begins.

The Beacon News – Aurora (IL) February 22, 2005 Mark Walsh AURORA — Soon, Aurora University’s football team will no longer be able to dominate the Illini-Badger Conference. And, the AU-Benedictine basketball rivalry will no longer decide the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference championship. Beginning with the 2006-07 school year, AU will no longer be a member of either conference. Aurora University announced late last week that they will be part of a newly formed conference made up of schools from the NIIC and the Lake Michigan Conference. here concordia university wisconsin

“The merger of the Northern Illinois-Iowa COnference and the Lake Michigan Conference is a significant event in the history of intercollegiate athletics at Aurora University,” Mark Walsh, AU Director of Athletics, said. “We are excited about the opportunity to be part of this new initiative and we look forward to working with the other members to create the new conference.” While forming the new conference, which has yet to be named, AU won’t be leaving rivals from their current conferences in the cold.

Illini-Badger members Benedictine, Concordia University-River Forest, Concordia University-Wisconsin and Lakeland College will all be members of the new conference.

I-BC schools not joining the new league are Eureka, Greenville and MacMurray.

Members of the NIIC coming with AU to the new league are Benedictine, Concordia University-River Forest, Rockford College, Clarke (Iowa) College and Dominican University.

The Lake Michigan Conference schools joining the league are Alverno College, Edgewood College, Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Marian College, Milwaukee School of Engineering and Wisconsin Lutheran College. Both Concordia University-Wisconsin and Lakeland College are also members of the Lake Michigan Conference but play football in the Illini-Badger Conference.

The 14 colleges and universities will now begin the process of appointing a committee to draft a constitution and related by-laws. This committee will be charied by AU president Dr. Rebecca L. Sherrick.

“The new athletic conference will provide expanded opportunities for our student-athletes and coaches and the chance to identify with institutions that share our dedication to academic excellence and character development,” Sherrick said.

“This new athletic conference will provide many benefits to our athletes and to all member institutions,” AU vice president of student life Michael Moser said. “These benefits include broadening the competitive field because we will play against a larger number of colleges and universities. web site concordia university wisconsin

“Our student athletes will also be able to visit more schools which means being able to interact with and work cooperatively with more students from other institutions.” All institutions in the new conference offer men’s and women’s soccer men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball and women’s volleyball (with the exception of Alverno). Men’s and women’s cross country, golf, tennis and track and field will also be offered by most of the new members.
