Rumor Dept.: Microsoft Looking to Further Cash-in Xbox Live in 2012

Looking for a job people will spite you for? How about a Group Product Planner over at Microsoft which aims to, “further monetize Xbox LIVE subscriber base that will be implemented for holiday 2012.”

Microsoft raised the price of Xbox Live from $50 to $60 last year with the excuse that they offer more content than ever. Rumors swirling earlier this year stated the potential for dropping Microsoft Points for a straight cash system, which Joystiq associated with this current rumor. A scattered idea elsewhere considered another tier of Xbox Live, possibly a platinum package, although what would include remains a mystery.

Clearly, it would be up to the Group Product Planner. So, if you’re applying and that is your job, try and make it worthwhile, okay?
