If there’s one person who has been instrumental to the rebirth and renaissance of fighting games, it’s Seth Killian. As Community Manager, not only has he acted as a Special Adviser to big fighting games like Street Fighter IV, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and Street Fighter x Tekken, but he’s also been a special part of Mega Man 9 and Capcom’s beloved Fight Club events.
Frankly, the man works at Capcom because he’s always been a fan. And he promises that he’ll continue to be a fan of Capcom, even after his resignation.
“I have chosen a new path which will let me embrace a new dream, but to everyone that ever believed in this dream we shared together, let me say this final thanks. I will leave as I began–a Capcom fan for life, looking forward to all the great games still to come.”
It’s unknown where he’s heading currently, but Capcom may never be the same now that he’s gone. Despite the unshakable presence of trolls and hard to please fans, Killian has always been about serving the fans. Whenever the fans wanted even the smallest, most inane piece of information like the frame data off of a character’s standing jab attack, Killian has always done his best to make the fans Capcom’s first priority.
Best of luck to Seth Killian and his future endeavors.
