Capcom is re-issuing the “lost” Marvel vs Capcom titles in a dual pack sometime this September. While Marvel vs. Capcom 2 became synonymous with the series as a jumping point, that release came later. It was fed by Marvel Super Heroes and the first Marvel vs. Capcom, both of which lacked some of the finer gloss, but played beautifully. The dual pack will be digital for $15, with the title Marvel vs. Capcom Origins.
That still leaves the X-Men titles which further fueled these fighting entries, beginning with X-Men: Children of the Atom and X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Why those games aren’t in there (it couldn’t be licensing if they have Marvel, right?) to make this a killer four pack is a mystery. That is, unless Capcom issues those two separately down the line. Then it all makes sense.
