Normally, an invincibility glitch or code wouldn’t be such a problem. For Diablo III, it’s primed for total disaster.
High ranking weapons, and thus those that could sell for mega bucks via the online auction house, are accessible in difficult areas of the game. This glitch, which isn’t all that difficult to access, could flood the market with loot, or find so many players carrying it, the value would dive. Supply and demand can backfire on Blizzard’s controversial always-online decision.
No word on when the patch will go live to fix the bug, but one assumes it would be soon for their own benefit.
