Army of Two is in the hands of Visceral Games, and is slated for a reboot. Yes, a reboot. It’s the “in” thing to do.
Forget glorious, meme-creating fist bumps. Army of Two is heading south into the Mexican drug war for a, “more intense, mature, and grittier tone.” Joy. They’re turning Army of Two into Batman. Note that Salem and Rios, the key lead characters of the first two titles, are no more either. Now it’s generic guys named Alpha and Bravo. This could be a rough one.
The sequel isn’t that far off in the scheme of things considering this is the first official word. Devil’s Cartel is slated for March, 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360. PC owners are apparently being shafted if this initial announcement is correct.
