A $15 solo entry after last week’s crowded schedule.
Music games are dead? No, they’re not. In fact, they may have just found a new lease on life with this ingenious, instrument-free edition of Rock Band. All that’s needed to play are the two analog sticks and the triggers/bumpers to switch lanes, which represent the different song elements. Tracks reign down in left and right orientation, resulting in the need to flick each stick in rhythm. You can’t play all of the song at once, but must switch tracks to find the most point-sucking road possible. Think the PS2 titles Amplitude or Frequency for some of the idea, although Blitz has a style all its own, and it’s compatible with all of the DLC Rock Band songs. A perfect title for the Arcade.
