The 3DS has been around for a while and we’ve seen it go from a skeptical platform, to one with a legitimately good library, to once again having a murky future ahead of it. But with the holiday gift rush fast approaching, Best Buy is looking to convince you that a 3DS XL is cool, even if it means neato, cool discounts.
Observant shoppers from Cheap Ass Gamer found flyers advertising all three colors of the 3DS XL are getting discounted to $160 for only one week, between December 9 and 15. That’s down $40 from its normal retail price. Unlike a previous deal which involves a preloaded digital copy of Mario Kart 7 for $200, you get your pick of color plus you can get whatever 3DS game you want and still hit normal retail value for a single 3DS XL. Don’t forget that the XL model has both larger screen space and slightly longer battery life.
So in case you were wondering, I’ll personally be picking one up. This is a deal that doesn’t come around too often!
