January 11th will prove a deadly day for some EA products. The following are losing their online access forever on that date:
FIFA Soccer 11 + Ultimate Team
Madden 11 + Ultimate Team
NBA Jam
NBA Live 10
NCAA 11
NHL 11 + Ultimate Team
NBA Jam is the retail edition that EA abandoned after poor sales, not the downloadable On Fire edition. In other words, not only did EA ignore roster updates for those that paid $50, they’re also killing one of the key components while keeping a $15 version alive.
In a non-sports area, Sims 2 will lose online capabilities January 14th, and iOS title Trenches 2 will drop off on January 19th.
