Korea is home to a lot of MMOs these days. Ghosts ‘N Goblins Online was actually announced back in 2010 but no one’s heard a peep from it since then. Well, Developer Seed9 certainly didn’t forget, because they just held a closed beta a little while ago and Steparu was in on the mix so everyone else could see the wacky hijinks that can only come from Ghosts ‘N Goblins if it were online.
It looks like another take on the 2D, side-scrolling MMO idea, except lots of little GnG tastes bleed through some more modern ideas. Things like the funky way you run to the classic floaty jump return alongside things like combos and long range, arrow spamming.
It actually looks like it’ll be the easiest Ghosts ‘N Goblins ever. And all it took was a move to an MMO format!
