Angry Birds Trilogy Sells 1 Million Copies

It was a $40 physical title of a free and/or $1 series of mobile games. Despite the price, I thought Angry Birds Ttrilogy’s existence was totally warranted. Apparently, a lot of people thought so.

Angry Birds is more massive than more people seem to realize, or maybe want to realize. If sales of these physical console versions is any indicator, they should silence any critics. One million copies (across the 360, PS3, and 3DS together) is an impressive number no matter how you look at it.

The game, which includes Angry Birds, Space, and Rio, is set for release on Wii and Wii U later in 2013 as well. Wouldn’t it be something if the thing that turned the Wii U’s fortunes around was a port of a mobile hit?

Oh, and how long before a console version of Temple Run happens?
