Week in Arcade Part Deux – Hunter’s Trophy 2

A $10 Friday release expands on the popular hunting genre.

Hunter’s Trophy 2

Raise your hand if you enjoy shooting virtual nature’s gifts in the face with a shotgun. You? Okay, well, here’s another one of those, eschewing the Cabela license so you can shoot stuff without pesky advertisements. Hunter’s Trophy2 is fine if you’re into this sort of thing, methodical in its approach to taking big game, with some side games if you need to scratch a rapid fire, violent itch. Awkward controls with a shoulder zoom, clearly meant for the PC, stand as the only hurdle towards blowing the head off some woodland critter. Visuals are fair and preset goals add some challenge. It works as intended on a budget.
