Things get pricey on the (almost) eve of Xbox One with this $20 HD update.
Considered one of the best in the franchise, this HD port does not sport the exclusive characters which recognized console choice (Link, Spawn) but still holds a 3D fighting purity championship. Few fighters are more graceful in motion and with touch-up work in the resolution department, there is reason to go back even if it remains superficial. Xbox Live support bumps up the title’s lifespan through simple matches – no additional or surprising modes – but it’s online competition in a game which never offered it prior. Soul Calibur II’s soul still burns.
