The inaugural appearance of Sony’s crown jewel sports simulation MLB 14: The Show will arrive a touch later on their latest hardware. Without a joke, PlayStation 3 and Vita batters will take their swings on April 1st. PlayStation 4 users will need to wait until sometime in May; the specific date is unspecified. The league itself fully kicks off on Monday, March 31st.
From MLB 14 forward, player’s career can be continued in future editions of the game. No more starting over each year. There is also a new micro transaction currency for boosts called “Stubs,” which can boost your Road to the Show athlete. The PlayStation Blog post on The Show announcing said financial feature is adamant about being able to play without spending money.
More features are promised to be revealed prior to launch.
