Ultra Street Fighter IV will mark the fifth iteration of Capcom’s reborn fighting franchise. Over their time, tweaks and alterations have been applied to boost and weaken specific characters. In a twist, Ultra will include every version of character tweaks from each entry in this saga. From the uber Sagat in the first Street Fighter IV to the, well, not so uber Sagat in later variations, all of them will be available individually. You’ll choose on the character select screen alongside costumes, specials, and more.
Ultra SFIV’s Edition Select is offered for offline play only, undoubtedly to keep some semblance of balance between online combatants. Keeping it out of private matches seems overprotective however.
Capcom’s latest is due on August 31st and is available for pre-order.
