It’s a high priced $20 title, ported from its portable “origins.”
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
While tinier handheld screens can hide combat collision seams, such fix-ins are in full view on televisions. So, while Blackgate has imprecision in its coding blood, therein still lies an ample adventure brawler. Batman punches through the prison, battling villains and guys with guns, typically stealthy between between action sessions. Map design remains a mess resulting in confusing pathfinding (a series hallmark) but there remains an intelligent application of the Arkham design, stretched into two dimensions and embedded in this semi-winner.
