Microsoft’s Game DVR functionality is being expanded to include direct YouTube uploads.
Upload Studio, a console app which lets users edit, add voice, and piece together multiple clips right from the Xbox One, was released with only the ability to upload clips to Microsoft’s OneDrive service. From there, videos could be downloaded then uploaded in a rather convoluted way to YouTube. This update (free of course) will eliminate the need for OneDrive, but leave it as an option.
Also included in this round of video boosting is the possibility to watch YouTube videos in the snap menu, making it easy to view walk through guides while in games (or any other purpose you can come up with).
