A sporting classic returns with a $20 price.
Yes, that RBI Baseball, reborn with polygons after its abrupt disappearance post-RBI ’95 on 32X. Full licensing adds the essentials to this arcade style title, eliminating notions of complexity such as pitch or swing types. Scores tread ever higher and slaughter rules are in effect. Simplicity is appealing although RBI does take it to extreme by cutting out stat tracking during season modes. This is more of a shell rather than a complete baseball title as even retro RBI entries allowed for some basic functionality. For $20, this is a reach, if a pleasant one.
